Give me Jesus
I have been walking around in a cloud of Christmas spirit lately.
Oh the jingles that can be heard out in front of every public place in every city and town! Man oh man, the shiny, sparkly, red and green glory to behold EVERYWHERE! Frank, Ella, Bing, and Nat still filling the air with fabulous Christmas tunes. My gorgeous Christmas tree that puts all others to shame. (No offense to those who also believe that they too have the worlds most perfect Christmas tree) What a wonderful and joyful season indeed. Amidst the merciless fusillade of holiday merriment… The MOST delicious gift… the BEGINNING of gifting…. is Jesus. http://www.rhapsody.com/player?type=track&id=tra.17993879&remote=false&page=&pageregion=&guid=&from=&hasrhapx=false&__pcode=
Mom and I went on a date to see Vince Gill and Amy Grant’s christmas spectacular at the Fabulous Fox. Don’t make fun (hah!), I grew up to her Christmas cd. It IS my childhood! it was neat to see Vince sing this song after the blessings that this family (Vince, Amy G, and children) have experienced had become apparent to the crowd.
He then comes out with… “you can have all the world… just give me Jesus….”
